Rental Relief Fund  - 租金救濟基金

City of Boston $3 Million in City funds to help Boston residents at risk of losing their rental housing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rental Relief Fund 

About the Program

The amount of help renters receive will be determined after taking into account other sources of income, including; 租房者將

  • the expected expansion of unemployment benefits under new federal rules established by the CARES Act, 包括: 根據《援

  • the one-time federal payments many residents are expected to receive.

Program guidelines

To qualify for this financial assistance, you must either ;

not be eligible for the new extended unemployment benefits offered by the federal government, or

  • because of the nature of your job, the unemployment benefits that you will receive represent a significant reduction in your actual income.

​

Applicants will also need to certify that 

  • they do not have savings to meet this need

  • do not have access to other resources, including gifts from family members or other associates.

We will begin accepting applications Monday, April 6, 2020

Types of grants - 補助款的類型

For the purpose of this fund, a "small business" will be defined as a for-profit entity with:

  1. fewer than thirty-five (35) employees

  2. less than $1,500,000 in annual revenue, and

  3. registered with, in good standing with, and operating in, the City of Boston (excluding chain or corporate franchises).

  • Business must provide a copy of its most recent fiscal year tax return

  • Business must provide proof of payroll (if applicable)

Due to overwhelming applications, The City of Boston is no longer accepting new applications to the Small Business Relief Fund. We will reach out to applicants directly for notification during our review process. If additional funding becomes available, the application portal will reopen.

To qualify for grant assistance, you must satisfy all of the following requirements:
 

  • Completed Application Form

  • Full-time employees (Minimum of 30 hours total per week, can be multiple   restaurants)

  • Employed for 3 months or longer at the same location

  • Worked in a restaurant, bar, cafe or nightclub located in Massachusetts

  • Submit the last two pay stubs received
