Corporate Buddy
Goal - The goal of the Corporate Buddy program is to provide neighborhood commercial
districts with the expertise and resources which corporations can offer to help small businesses in the
comprehensive revitalization of their Main Street district.
Components - Each Corporate Buddy will contribute the following to one designated Main
Street community:
- A financial commitment of $10,000 annually for four years toward the cost of operating the local Main
Street organization.
- Technical expertise and assistance of company staff in planning and implementation of the Main Street
community's varying goals and projects such as helping in development of a marketing strategy and
reviewing financial plans, to assisting with graphic design services and communications, or organization
of a company volunteer project.
- Participation in a city-wide Corporate Buddy roundtable with Boston Main Streets Program staff on a
quarterly basis to monitor progress of individual communities and the city-wide program.
